Nicci Wall

Nicci Wall is passionate about raising awareness, understanding and insight into living with a mental illness, whilst striving to reduce stigma.
Nicci became a Mental Health Advocate following her diagnosis of Bipolar in 2001, building an extensive network sharing mental health related information.

Stuart Canavan

Stuart Canavan has been a Physiotherapist for over 24 years working in private practice. He is the founder and director of Rise Health Group in Rowville. He is one of Australia's most experienced clinicians in treating complex musculoskeletal pain. His background includes the management of complex pain cases using the latest neuroscience techniques.
He is married to Leesa, a father of 2 children. A survivor of life threatening illness, Stuart has personally experienced the challenges of altered mental wellbeing.
He has been able to work his way back to 'health' and volunteers his time conducting a supervised exercise group on the Surfcoast called 'Rise- Body, mind and soul' which provides people managing serious illness, depression or anxiety a way to exercise in a supervised, supportive and fun environment.

Stuart will discuss with us mental health from an 'whole mind body' perspective. This will include discussion around the 'neuroscience' of the mind, the role of exercise and the importance of nutrition and 'gut health'.
