A Screening of Defiant Lives
In partnership with the Victoria Against Violence – 16 Days of Activism campaign and Women with Disabilities Victoria, the Barwon Hub would like to invite you to a screening of Defiant Lives.
Defiant Lives introduces the world to the most impressive activists you’ve never heard of and tells the story of the rise and fight of the disability rights movement in the United States, Britain and Australia.
Sarah Barton, the Director, will be here to introduce the film.
Afterwards, join us for a conversation: ‘Where are we now? Disability rights and gender based violence’ with Deb Haygarth (Barwon Hub), Justine Devonport (Women’s Health Barwon South West), Kaia DeBurgh (CASA/Barwon Health) and Keran Howe (Women with Disabilities Victoria).
