Australia in 2030: Creating the future we want

This year's ACOSS National Conference, in partnership with VCOSS, is being held on Tue 24 and Wed 25 October in Melbourne. The 2017 National Conference, in partnership with VCOSS, is the event where community leaders, policy and decision makers, practitioners, academics and people with lived experience come together to collectively tackle the issues driving poverty and inequality in Australia. Leading thinkers and decision makers from the community, public, and private sectors will collaborate to identify challenges and workshop responses to move us towards a brighter and more equitable 2030.

With more than 10 sessions and 40 speakers over 2 days, Australia 2030 will deliver countless opportunities to spark conversations that inspire action.

Speakers include:

  • Carolyn Curtis, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation 
  • Lenore Taylor, Guardian Australia
  • Saul Eslake, Economist 

Sessions include:

  • Being a better advocate

  • How to leverage partnerships for change
  • Stories from the frontline: how to win hearts and minds

Australia 2030 is the event of 2017 for community leaders, policy and decision makers, practitioners, academics and people with lived experience come together to collectively tackle the issues driving poverty and inequality in Australia.
