Barwon Month of Action – Beyond pink and blue: challenging gender stereotyping from the early years

As part of the Barwon Month of Action to stop men’s violence against women and children, a panel of expert speakers will discuss the effects on children and society of rigid gender stereotyping in the early years.

The panel will explore the origins of the gendered nature of violence. Speakers include:

  • Jess Boccia, Social Worker and Mother
  • Professor Glenda MacNaughton, Early Childhood Practitioner
  • Dr Michelle Smith, Lecturer in Children’s Literature

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.
