HerStory – FREE night of Storytelling of women from Geelong

Tuesday, 29 October 2019 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

During the Barwon Month of Action we are re-writing history.

"We are volcanoes. When we women offer our experience as our truth, as human truth, all the maps change.

There are new mountains.”Ursula Le Guin Herstory aims to lift the voices of women past and present, women of First Nations People, women of all backgrounds and cultures, their stories, their struggles and their achievements.

The Barwon Month of Action to Stop Men’s Violence Against Women and Children is a good time to reflect on the role that women have played in building and maintaining our communities, our towns and our institutions.

Presented in partnership with Deakin University, Reclaim the Night Collective Geelong, Geelong Regional Library Corporation and Barwon Community Legal Service for Barwon Month of Action.
