Healthier Eating & Active Living Action Plan

The Backbone Support Group and our partners have produced an Action plan around the shared health promotion priority of Healthy Eating and Active Living.

This completes the planning process for our collective work and implementation of these actions will commence (or have commenced) shortly. The plan reflects our joint regional collaborative efforts to prioritise actions to generate change within the G21 community.

Over the course of these past 12 months, as a collective, we have secured valuable partners going forward. We are pleased to advise that Barwon Water and the Institute of Physical Activity and Nutrition (Deakin University) are keen to strengthen and be involved in our prevention efforts. These strategic partnerships will add exceptional value to our work moving forward.

The actions under the Physical Activity priority will be strengthened once an evaluation report of the G21 Physical Activity Strategy has been released. This report will also assist in our prioritisation of actions and activities.

In addition, please find the results from the VicHealth Partnership Analysis Tool. Any genuine partnership needs to keep track on how it is fairing and this tool will help guide the partnership further.

More information around progress of this Action Plan will be provided in early 2018.
