LGBTI roadshow visits the G21 region

Victoria’s first Gender and Sexuality Commissioner, Ro Allen, has undertaken part of an LGBTI Equality Roadshow across rural and regional Victoria. The pilot LGBTI Equality Roadshow visited Geelong on 29 March where approximately 40 representatives from across the G21 region met to discuss reducing discrimination, while also sharing information and promoting the importance of inclusion in regional Victorian communities.

A range of other issues such as family violence, health and wellbeing will also be discussed. Leading the tour is Gender and Sexuality Commissioner Ro Allen,  which is visiting 17 towns and cities.

Key stakeholders were also invited to attend an Inclusion Planning Workshop Key, where they were able to have their say about what a local, LGBTI inclusive community looks like and shape how new conversations and new partnerships will take place locally.
