Thank you Stephanie: Deakin University Student Placement
The G21 HWB Pillar would like to thank Stephanie Pridan for her valuable contribution to the Healthier Eating & Active Living regional priority. One of the activities of the G21 Health and Wellbeing Pillar is to support student placements on an ongoing basis and to encourage 'theory to practice' opportunities.
Stephanie is completing her 3rd Year of Public Health at Deakin University, and has completed her Health Promotion & Health Sciences Practicum at G21.
Over the course of the past three months (July – October) we have supported Stephanie to commence work on the development of an Advocacy tool kit around our shared health promotion priority of Healthy Eating and Active Living.
Stephanie, originally from Stawell, enjoyed working with our partner agencies in the G21 Region. One of her most rewarding experiences was meeting and interviewing health promotion practitioners who were able to provide sound and seasoned advice around advocacy.
The tool kit will be available on the G21 HWB Website once complete.
We wish Stephanie our best in her final year of study at Deakin University and encourage our partners to support a student placement and encourage new personnel into the profession.
