Capacity Building & Leadership
Capacity building taps into the existing abilities of individuals, communities, organisations or systems to increase involvement, decision-making and ownership of issues.
There are many levels of capacity building – Individual, Community, Organisational and System Capacity Building.
Community capacity is an engaged, inclusive approach to building community understanding of the issues, needs and experiences and the current or desired assets needed in our community to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for everyone.
As a key priority for the Health & Wellbeing Pillar, we will provide opportunities to build capacity and encourage leadership at every opportunity.
If we build the capacity of our workforce, community and organisations, we will also build our leadership capability.
