GOAL AND VISION
Our Vision is a fair and sustainable food system for the region.
Our Goal is to provide leadership for best practice approaches to a sustainable food system for the region.
Good food is vital to our health and wellbeing; it also provides a social and cultural experience that we share as a community. The Regional Food System Alliance (RFSA) understands the integral role of food in our lives.
The Regional Food System Alliance Action Plan runs from 2013 to 2017, in line with Local Government Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing planning cycles.
One role of the RFSA is to collect and assess evidence based food data that is comparable across the LGAs.
A subgroup of members produced this current report and infographics to inform Municipal Public Health Planning and Integrated Health Promotion Planning.
The RFSA prepared this summary document of the key findings and recommendations coming out of the 2016 Regional Food Data Report to provide to the Backbone Support Group for consideration and inclusion within the regional Healthier Eating & Active Living plan.
